Leafology Cannabis Companyis Westchester County's favorite state-licensed adult-use cannabis dispensary, regulated by the New York Office of Cannabis Management at 244 Main Street, Suite 1, White Plains, NY 10601, and this FAQ answers the questions Westchester adults 21+ ask most often about products, delivery, pricing, first visits, and New York State cannabis law.
Top Questions, Answered First
What do I need to buy cannabis in New York?
You need one valid government-issued photo ID proving you are 21 years of age or older. New York State law requires age verification at every licensed dispensary entrance. No appointment, no medical card, and no membership are required. Leafology accepts cash and debit card at checkout, and an ATM is available on-site.
Accepted IDs include US driver's licenses, US passports, US military IDs, and valid unexpired out-of-state driver's licenses. Temporary paper IDs, photocopies, and expired documents cannot be accepted under OCM regulation.
How much cannabis can I legally buy in New York?
New York adults 21+ may possess up to 3 ounces (85 grams) of cannabis flower or 24 grams of cannabis concentrate at any one time under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA). These limits apply to possession, not to a single transaction, so you may purchase in larger weights while staying inside the cap.
At home, you may store up to 5 pounds of cannabis securely. There is no statutory limit on CBD-only products. Cannabis cannot cross state lines, even into other legal states.

Cannabis 101
What is the difference between THC and CBD?
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the intoxicating cannabinoid responsible for the cannabis high. CBD (cannabidiol) is non-intoxicating and is widely used for calm, recovery, and wellness. Many products blend both in ratios like 1:1, 2:1, or 20:1 THC:CBD.
What is the difference between sativa, indica, and hybrid?
Sativa strains are classically associated with uplifting, daytime effects. Indica strains are associated with relaxing, evening effects. Hybrids combine both. Modern science shows the terpene profile predicts the felt experience more accurately than the sativa/indica label.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis and many other plants. They give each strain its distinctive flavor and aroma and modulate the felt effects through the entourage effect. Myrcene, limonene, pinene, caryophyllene, and linalool are the most common in cannabis.
How long do edibles take to kick in?
Edibles typically take 30-90 minutes to take effect depending on metabolism, whether you ate recently, and the format. Always wait at least 2 hours before taking a second dose.
What's a safe starting dose for a new consumer?
For edibles, start with 2.5-5 mg of THC and wait 2 hours. For flower, take one or two small puffs of 15-20% THC flower and wait 10-15 minutes. Most overconsumption comes from re-dosing too early, not from the initial dose.
